Hello beautiful! I am so excited about this post for several reasons. One being that I found a new awesome shopping spot and second being festival season is in full swing! Living in New Orleans means there isn’t a shortage of things to do. The weather is heating up but the locals are gonna Laissez les bons temps rouler (let the good times roll). Finding unique pieces to wear can be difficult and I am a firm believer in shopping local. I of course do a fair share of shopping online, but being able to leave with the item that day while supporting my city is a win win.
This past weekend was a lot of fun! I had a super tasty brunch at Horn’s located in the Marigny. (I also totally support businesses that are dog friendly! Not that I would take my two rambunctious dogs, but I love to pet everyone elses). The food was delicious and their drink menu was great as well. I think one of my favorites thing about this place is the home feel and laid back atmosphere. There were little personal touches such as ; family photos on the wall, flowers on the table and locally made coffee cups. Several of us were swooning over there colorful and unique coffee cups. You have to try this place out as it really is one of kind!
We decided to do a little shopping so we headed to a vintage shop located on St. Charles. BDFFRNT VINTAGE (Pronounced: Be Different) is such a unique shop full of authentic 70’s, 80’s & 90’s clothes, plus it’s owned by the coolest babe (Astrid)! This shop has a plethora of clothing, purses, sunglasses and more, and not to mention she hand picks it all. We had a field day playing dressup and enjoyed the process. Astrid herself pulled and styled outfits for us which made shopping so easy! OMG and talk about an awesome selection of highwaisted jean shorts (the best). I totally plan on shopping here for all the festivals I will be attending. All my clothing I am wearing is from here, including the fanny pack and scrunchie!
